While I’m waiting for the last responses around the reader test for the new Hue Wall Switch Module, I unfortunately have bad news for you: Availability will remain poor in the coming weeks. Currently, the new accessory is sold out in many countries in Europe, if at all, only a few single packs are available At this point, it’s not likely that this situation will change in the near future – and if it does, it would be a welcome surprise.
I have been using the new Philips Hue wall switch module for a week now, and some of you have already received your orders from last week. Currently there seem to be a few single sets available in the online shop of Philips Hue, regarding the availability of the double pack I am still waiting for an official feedback from the manufacturer.

Now, however, we can report a full train: The “T-connector for Low Volt” as well as the “Outdoor cable extension 2.5 m” can now also be ordered individually at a price of 11.49 euros each in the online store of Philips Hue.

For me, the Philips Hue Wall Switch Module is the most exciting new Hue product in recent years. After all, it solves a problem that has existed since the start of Philips Hue almost ten years ago. However, Philips Hue has not yet got to grips with another problem: Availability in its own online shop.
It was announced in mid-January, now the time has finally come: The new Philips Hue wall switch module can finally be ordered in Europe. At the start, it will be offered exclusively in the Philips Hue online shop for three months, after which other retailers will also be able to start selling it.
The Philips Hue Wall Switch Module will be released shortly and of course I will provide you with some first impressions just in time for the launch. In addition, this morning I have selected three readers who may also test the module for us. Nothing is official yet, but it should probably start soon.

Soon the Philips Hue wall switch module will be available in stores. Although “in stores” is perhaps not quite the right expression, because as already announced, the new accessory will initially be sold exclusively directly at Philips Hue. In Germany and also in other European countries, the wall switch module will only be sold by other retailers in about three months, starting in calendar week 19.
In October, I already drew your attention to the Philips Hue outdoor power supply exchange programme. And now that some of you are getting your garden ready for spring, it’s time to remind you of the story again. It’s about the 40 Watt Outdoor Power Supply from Philips Hue. This was sold with the starter sets of the Hue Lily or Hue Calla, and the power supply of the Outdoor Lightstrips can also be affected.
It shouldn’t be too much time until the Philips Hue Wall Switch Module is available in stores. Unfortunately, Signify has not yet communicated an exact launch date for the product, which was introduced in January, but officially it should be ready in spring (in Europe). However, thanks to a reader’s email from the Netherlands, I can already show you how exactly the new module is configured in the Hue app.
Last year, the time had come: The first Philips Hue switch ever, the Hue Tap, was discontinued. Although it is still available for purchase, the switches that are currently still available are remnants. However, the name Hue Tap will probably not disappear completely from the market. A new entry has appeared in the online store of an authorized Philips dealer from the USA.
